Hardeman County Recent Arrest Reports
The Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office Booking Reports page is where the county’s arrest records begin. Every search starts there. It links a dated PDF that the office calls an intake press release. Names run alphabetically, and updates arrive weekly. This is not a live jail roster. Check the intake range and print time before searching a name. The link itself shifts as the month rolls over. A PDF with no name does not prove no arrest occurred. Two time windows matter here. Hardeman County posts no same-day online feed. A fresh custody question goes to Booking at (731) 228-3016. The weekly PDF covers several days at once. The 24 Hour Arrests page explains the live fallback. The Arrest Log page explains the wider report and its archives.
| Question | Official source | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Was someone just booked? | Booking line | Current local custody |
| Which intakes were published? | Sheriff PDF | Weekly intake window |
| Was the person released or moved? | TN SAVIN | Reported custody changes |
| How did the case end? | Circuit Court Clerk | Filed case and disposition |
The official booking page shows the weekly publication method.

The date range adds context a copied photo lacks.
When New Arrests Have Not Posted
A street arrest can happen before jail intake finishes, and a booking can also land after the current PDF was printed. Call the official Booking number with three questions. Has intake finished for the person arrested last night? Are they still at the county Criminal Justice Complex? Release, transfer, and outside-agency holds all get recorded there too. Then watch the next sheriff report for the public entry, since no source promises an exact update hour. The official Corrections page identifies the booking contact.

The county’s official fallback for lag is the phone.
Hardeman County Arrest Roster Reality
Hardeman County publishes no live, name-searchable jail roster. The real public path has two parts. It pairs the weekly intake PDF with the booking line. Third-party jail directories sometimes plant search boxes next to county facts. Those tools are not the sheriff’s. Don’t call any of them the official roster. A released person may drop out of a current custody answer while the dated booking record still exists, so use the PDF with care.
- Read its intake dates and print timestamp.
- Search the full surname and compare the first and middle names.
- Match city, agency, intake time, and arrest location.
- Read every charge row as an charge.
- Call Booking when the event is newer or the status is unclear.
| Field | Use | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Booking identity | Common names need more matches |
| Intake range | Dates covered | Not a live custody period |
| Agency and city | Booking context | City may not be arrest location |
| Release time | Release recorded before printing | Blank does not prove custody |
| Print time | Age of the snapshot | Status can change later |
Where Hardeman Arrests Are Published
Start with official sources: the sheriff posts intake reports and answers booking questions. City police keep their own incident records. The court clerk holds the filed case and its result. Tennessee runs VINE and FOIL for later custody stages. Secondary publishers can offer a lead. But their copies lag, omit changes, or linger online after an official correction.
| Channel | Photo | Authority |
|---|---|---|
| Sheriff booking report | Some entries | Official county intake source |
| Booking line | No | Official current status |
| TDOC FOIL | May include one | Official state felony source |
| Hatchie Press | Varies | Secondary monthly reporting |
| RecentlyBooked, Busted Newspaper, Mugshots.com | Often | Unofficial; verify all fields |
RecentlyBooked and Busted Newspaper carry Hardeman sections, and Mugshots.com has a county path. Arrests.org searches Tennessee but lists no Hardeman page. Mugshots.zone has none. None of these publishers can confirm current custody or a court result.
Recent Arrests by Hardeman City
City police records and county booking records are separate. Bolivar Recent Arrests walks through police reports and the county-seat court path. Whiteville Recent Arrests covers the city’s monthly crime totals and the gap between the county jail and Whiteville’s state prison. Middleton Recent Arrests follows the city contact and county-dispatch route. City arrests booked at the CJC still appear in the sheriff’s all-agencies report. That report can name the arresting department. None of the three police departments runs a live mugshot feed. Bolivar links its municipal docket and TBI statistics. Whiteville posts agency totals with no names or photos. Middleton publishes contacts instead of a blotter. Those differences decide where a request belongs: city police, county Booking, or a court clerk.
Hardeman County Arrest Record Fields
The official report with images is an intake record, not a criminal history. A September 2026 sample covered every agency and joined identity, custody, charge, and court-scheduling details. Fields vary from entry to entry. A blank stays blank. Older formats differ, so never fill one by inference.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | Identity entered at booking |
| Intake and release | Jail times recorded before printing |
| Agency, city, location | Administrative arrest context |
| Bond and classification | Custody data, not guilt |
| Charge and statute | Accusation recorded at intake |
| Court date | Scheduled appearance that may change |
| Photo | Image included for some entries |
Hardeman Arrest Mugshots and Photos
The sheriff labels its document an “Intake Press Release With Image,” and many entries carry a booking photo. It is a record, not a gallery. Some entries show no image. No published policy promises every photo or a fixed time online. A missing picture can stem from format, timing, restriction, or agency practice. The Tennessee Department of Correction FOIL overview describes a different record stage.

FOIL can surface a state correctional photo after a felony custody or supervision event. It does not replace the local intake image. An omitted local photo has one written route. Write the sheriff’s Records Clerk at celliott@hcsowesttn.org. Include the full name, intake date, and booking number if known. Add the arresting agency and the exact item requested. Ask about inspection and costs. The office publishes no special photo form, fixed fee, or guaranteed turnaround.
Request a Hardeman Arrest Record
The Hardeman County Sheriff's Office sits at 505 South Main Street, Suite B. It is in Bolivar, Tennessee 38008. Call (731) 658-3971. Fax reaches the office at (731) 658-3803. The county's general public-record policy notes that the sheriff keeps a separate policy of its own. The county fee schedule may not apply to sheriff copies. State law also lets the office request proof of Tennessee citizenship from a requester.
- Give the full legal name and approximate intake date.
- Add the booking number and agency when known.
- Name the exact intake, charge, release, or photo record.
- Ask for inspection or a copy and confirm any charge first.
- For a denial, request the legal basis and a non-exempt version.
The official contact page identifies the records clerk.

Call or visit the sheriff directly rather than routing a jail request through an unrelated county office.
Tennessee Arrest Records and Expunction
Tennessee's Public Records Act sits in Title 10, Chapter 7, Part 5, and generally opens government records to citizens of the state. Some material stays closed. Juvenile files, sealed or expunged items, victim-protected information, and active investigations can all be restricted. The sheriff publishes no fixed booking-photo retention period online. Old PDFs still appear in search indexes, but a live web page is not a legal promise to keep anything.
Tennessee Code section 40-32-101 lets a qualifying person petition a court for expunction. Eligibility can rest on a dismissal, a no true bill, an arrest without charges, diversion, or an eligible conviction. Nothing happens automatically. The petition is filed in the court where the arrest occurred, and once the order is entered it goes to the arresting agency, the jail, TDOC, and TBI. The TBI expungement page explains the order process.

Keep the signed order and send a copy straight to every source that still shows the qualifying record.
Correcting Hardeman Arrest Photos
No Tennessee law forces private mugshot publishers to pull a photo for free. Fix an inaccurate government source first. Once a court grants expunction, send the order to the sheriff, the court, and each private site. Use whatever free correction or record-maintenance route it offers. Mugshots.com lists its qualifying grounds and states that it takes no removal payment. RecentlyBooked routes requests through its policy. Terms can change.
Skip any stranger promising to erase an arrest everywhere for a fee. Private copies get syndicated across sites. A search engine cannot rewrite a live source. After the source drops the page, use its outdated-content process to clear the stale result. Save the URL, the submission, the order, and every reply as a paper trail.
Hardeman Arrest Warrants and Notices
Hardeman County runs no public warrant-name portal or standing most-wanted page. The sheriff does name a Warrants/HR Clerk at ngreve@hcsowesttn.org. Ask there about a possible warrant. Then confirm the issuing court, case number, and recall status with the court clerk. The Circuit Court Clerk occupies Suite A of the CJC. Sheriff records sit in Suite B.
A failure-to-appear booking charge is not a full warrant list. Bolivar Municipal Court covers only a narrow slice of city traffic and parking cases. It does not handle the county criminal docket. Never approach a wanted person. Anyone worried about a warrant should talk to an attorney. Then speak with the issuing court and the sheriff about lawful resolution. Send tips to law enforcement, and call 911 for emergencies.
After a Hardeman County Arrest
General Sessions Court handles many first-stage matters after a Hardeman County arrest. Circuit Court keeps the broader criminal files, grand-jury papers, appeals, fines, and post-conviction work. The Circuit Court Clerk is at 505 South Main Street, Suite A, in Bolivar. The phone is (731) 658-6524. Hours run weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Ask the clerk for the docket and final disposition. A case can end in dismissal, nolle prosequi, no true bill, diversion, acquittal, plea, or conviction. Charges may be amended along the way. The booking report should not be rewritten to match the later case. The two records answer different questions.
- Booking
- Jail intake after arrest.
- Bond
- Release terms pending court, not a sentence.
- Disposition
- The court’s outcome.
- Expunction
- Court-ordered destruction of eligible records.
Hardeman Custody After Arrest
TN SAVIN, delivered through VINELink, reports custody status along with supported release and transfer events. It can lag behind a fresh booking. It also never shows the final case outcome. The VINELink Check explains searching and alerts.
TDOC FOIL covers felony offenders in state custody or under supervision. The Hardeman County Correctional Facility in Whiteville is a state prison. It is separate from the county CJC. BOP tracks federal inmates. It offers no county booking-photo gallery. ICE detention is its own system. Someone arrested in Hardeman County can appear in one system and not another.
Older Hardeman Arrest Archives
Some sheriff PDFs from 2023 through 2026 remain indexed. Still, Hardeman County has no complete archive or fixed retention term. Ask the Records Clerk whether the jail record and image are still in local custody. Court dispositions are separate. TDOC archived requests apply only to state correctional material.
A register dating to the early 1900s turned up during a move. It was donated to the Little Courthouse. That bit of history does not mean current PDFs transfer there. State Library and Archives collections cover state prison material. County microfilm guides point to older court files. Give any archive the person's name, year, agency, and record type.
Note: A missing web page does not prove an official record was destroyed or that a private copy is current.
