Hardeman County Recent Arrest Reports
Start with the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office Booking Reports page. It posts a dated PDF, labeled an intake press release. Names are listed alphabetically. Updates are promised weekly. Treat it as a report, not a live jail roster. Check the intake range and the print time before you search for a name. The link changes as the month rolls over. An empty search of one PDF never means no arrest happened. Timing matters here. Hardeman County offers no same-day online feed. A fresh custody question goes straight to Booking at (731) 228-3016. The weekly PDF is the multi-day window, and it can span several days at once. For the live fallback, see 24 Hour Arrests. For the wider report and its archives, see Arrest Log.
| Question | Official source | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Was someone just booked? | Booking line | Current local custody |
| Which intakes were published? | Sheriff PDF | Weekly intake window |
| Was the person released or moved? | TN SAVIN | Reported custody changes |
| How did the case end? | Circuit Court Clerk | Filed case and disposition |
The official booking page shows the weekly publication method.

The date range and the linked report carry context that a name or photo alone cannot supply.
When New Arrests Have Not Posted
A street arrest can happen before jail intake finishes. A booking can also land after the current PDF went to print. If someone was arrested in Hardeman County last night, call Booking and ask three things: whether intake is complete, whether the person is still at the Hardeman County Criminal Justice Complex, and whether release, transfer, or an outside-agency hold is on file. Then watch the next weekly report for the public intake entry. No source promises an exact update day or hour. The official Corrections page identifies the booking contact.

That phone line is the county’s official answer whenever the weekly document runs behind.
Hardeman County Arrest Roster Reality
There is no official live, name-searchable jail roster in Hardeman County. The real public path is the weekly alphabetized intake PDF plus the booking line. Generic jail directories may plant search boxes next to county information. But the sheriff does not run those tools. None of them counts as the official roster. Keep one more wrinkle in mind. A released person may drop out of a current custody answer. The dated booking record still exists in the weekly PDF. Use it with care.
- Read its intake dates and print timestamp.
- Search the full surname and compare the first and middle names.
- Match city, agency, intake time, and arrest location.
- Read every charge row as an charge.
- Call Booking when the event is newer or the status is unclear.
| Field | Use | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Booking identity | Common names need more matches |
| Intake range | Dates covered | Not a live custody period |
| Agency and city | Booking context | City may not be arrest location |
| Release time | Release recorded before printing | Blank does not prove custody |
| Print time | Age of the snapshot | Status can change later |
Where Hardeman Arrests Are Published
Official sources should lead the way. The sheriff publishes intake reports and answers booking questions. City police keep incident records. The court clerk holds the filed case and its disposition, and Tennessee agencies run VINE and FOIL for later custody stages. Secondary publishers can point you toward a lead, but their copies may lag, skip changes, or stay online after an official correction.
| Channel | Photo | Authority |
|---|---|---|
| Sheriff booking report | Some entries | Official county intake source |
| Booking line | No | Official current status |
| TDOC FOIL | May include one | Official state felony source |
| Hatchie Press | Varies | Secondary monthly reporting |
| RecentlyBooked, Busted Newspaper, Mugshots.com | Often | Unofficial; verify all fields |
RecentlyBooked and Busted Newspaper both carry Hardeman sections, and Mugshots.com has a county path. Arrests.org lists a Tennessee search. It has no dedicated Hardeman page. Hardeman has no Mugshots.zone section. None of these sites can establish current custody or a court result.
Recent Arrests by Hardeman City
City police records and county booking records sit in separate layers. Bolivar Recent Arrests covers police reports and the county-seat court path. Whiteville Recent Arrests explains its monthly aggregate crime report. It also covers the split between the county jail and Whiteville’s state prison. Middleton Recent Arrests follows the city contact and county-dispatch route. A city arrest may be booked at the CJC. In that case the sheriff’s all-agencies report may name the arresting department. None of the three police departments publishes a live name-by-name mugshot feed. Bolivar links its municipal docket and TBI statistics. Whiteville posts agency totals without names or photos. Middleton publishes contacts rather than a current blotter. Those differences matter. They decide whether a request belongs with city police, county Booking, or a court clerk.
Hardeman County Arrest Record Fields
The official image-bearing report is an intake record, not a criminal history. A September 2026 sample covered all agencies and joined identity, custody, charge, and court-scheduling details in one document. Not every entry carries every field. Older formats differ, so leave a blank blank.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | Identity entered at booking |
| Intake and release | Jail times recorded before printing |
| Agency, city, location | Administrative arrest context |
| Bond and classification | Custody data, not guilt |
| Charge and statute | Accusation recorded at intake |
| Court date | Scheduled appearance that may change |
| Photo | Image included for some entries |
Hardeman Arrest Mugshots and Photos
The sheriff labels its official document an “Intake Press Release With Image.” Many entries include a booking photo. It is a record, not a gallery. Some entries lack an image. No published policy promises every photo will appear or stay online for a set period. A missing picture can reflect format, timing, restriction, or agency practice. The Tennessee Department of Correction FOIL overview describes a different record stage.

FOIL can show a state correctional photo after a felony custody or supervision event. But it does not replace the local intake image. The local photo may be missing. If so, write the sheriff’s Records Clerk at celliott@hcsowesttn.org. Include the full name, the intake date, and the booking number if known. Add the arresting agency and the exact item you want. Ask about inspection and any costs. The office publishes no special photo form, fixed fee, or guaranteed turnaround.
Request a Hardeman Arrest Record
The Hardeman County Sheriff's Office sits at 505 South Main Street, Suite B. That is in Bolivar, Tennessee 38008. Call (731) 658-3971. Fax (731) 658-3803. The county's general public-record policy leaves the sheriff to its own separate policy. County-office fee rules therefore do not automatically govern sheriff copies of an arrest record. State law allows a citizenship check. A requester may be asked to show Tennessee citizenship before copies are released.
- Give the full legal name and approximate intake date.
- Add the booking number and agency when known.
- Name the exact intake, charge, release, or photo record.
- Ask for inspection or a copy and confirm any charge first.
- For a denial, request the legal basis and a non-exempt version.
The official contact page identifies the records clerk.

Contact the sheriff directly rather than an unrelated county office.
Tennessee Arrest Records and Expunction
The Tennessee Public Records Act, Title 10, Chapter 7, Part 5, generally opens government records to state citizens unless an exception applies. Juvenile, sealed, expunged, and victim-protected material can be restricted. Active investigations stay closed too. The sheriff publishes no fixed booking-photo retention period. Older PDFs remain indexed, but that web access is no legal retention promise.
Tennessee Code 40-32-101 offers a court petition for expunction. Eligibility turns on dismissal, no true bill, an arrest without charge, diversion, or an eligible conviction. Nothing happens automatically. The process starts in the court where the arrest occurred, and an entered order can go to the arresting agency, jail, TDOC, and TBI; the TBI expungement page explains the order process.

Mail the signed order to every source still showing it.
Correcting Hardeman Arrest Photos
No Tennessee law forces every private mugshot publisher to delete an arrest photo for free. Fix the inaccurate government source first. When a court grants expunction, send the order to the sheriff, the court, and each private site through its free correction route. Mugshots.com lists its qualifying grounds and says it takes no removal payment. RecentlyBooked routes requests through its posted policy. Terms can change.
Never pay a stranger who promises to erase an arrest everywhere. Private copies get syndicated. A search engine cannot rewrite a live source, so once the page changes, use the engine's outdated-content process for the stale result. Keep the URL, submission, order, and reply.
Hardeman Arrest Warrants and Notices
Hardeman County publishes no public warrant-name portal and no standing most-wanted page. The sheriff's Warrants/HR Clerk takes questions at ngreve@hcsowesttn.org. Check a possible warrant there. Then confirm the issuing court, case number, and recall status with the court clerk. The Circuit Court Clerk is in Suite A of the CJC, while sheriff records sit in Suite B.
A failure-to-appear booking charge is not a warrant list. Bolivar Municipal Court covers a narrow slice of city traffic and parking cases. It does not handle the full county criminal docket. Never approach a wanted person. A person worried about a warrant should talk to an attorney, the issuing court, and the sheriff. That is the lawful path to resolution. Send tips to law enforcement, and call 911 for emergencies.
After a Hardeman County Arrest
General Sessions Court handles many first-stage Hardeman County matters. Circuit Court keeps broader criminal files, grand-jury papers, appeals, fines, and post-conviction work. The Circuit Court Clerk is at 505 South Main Street, Suite A, Bolivar, phone (731) 658-6524, open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Ask for the docket and final disposition. A case can end in dismissal, nolle prosequi, no true bill, diversion, acquittal, plea, or conviction, and charges can be amended. The booking report answers a different question. Do not rewrite it to match the later case.
- Booking
- Jail intake after arrest.
- Bond
- Release terms pending court, not a sentence.
- Disposition
- The court’s outcome.
- Expunction
- Court-ordered destruction of eligible records.
Hardeman Custody After Arrest
TN SAVIN, delivered through VINELink, reports Hardeman custody status plus supported release or transfer events. It can lag a fresh booking. It never shows the final case outcome. The VINELink Check explains searching and alerts.
TDOC FOIL covers state felony custody and supervision. The Hardeman County Correctional Facility in Whiteville is a state prison, separate from the county CJC, while BOP covers federal inmates and offers no booking-photo gallery. ICE detention is separate, so a person can appear in one system but not another.
Older Hardeman Arrest Archives
Some sheriff PDFs from 2023 through 2026 remain indexed. Still, Hardeman County has no complete arrest archive and no fixed retention term. Ask the Records Clerk whether the jail record and booking image remain in local custody. Court dispositions are separate. TDOC archived requests apply only to state correctional material.
A register from the early 1900s surfaced during a move and was donated to the Little Courthouse. That history does not mean current PDFs transfer there. State Library and Archives collections cover state prison material, and county microfilm guides point to older court files. Give the archive the person, year, agency, and type.
Note: A missing web page does not prove the official record was destroyed or that a private copy is current.
Hardeman Booking Status Differences
Search strategy depends on where a person stands in the system. A fresh Hardeman County arrest calls for one tool. Someone held at the CJC right now, a release, and a state sentence each call for a different one. For current custody, the booking line answers fastest. The weekly PDF adds a dated snapshot of intake. It may note when someone walked out. Names can linger in that report after release, so check the date. TN SAVIN reflects an event only once its data arrives. FOIL belongs to the later TDOC stage, not a new county arrest.
Photos follow the same split. An intake photo from the sheriff belongs with the county report. A TDOC image belongs to a state offender file. News sites and commercial copies are secondhand at best. A face on an unofficial page proves no custody, no charge, and no court result. Trust identifiers from the agency that made the record.
Hardeman Records Office Boundaries
Offices inside the CJC do different jobs. Suite B handles sheriff booking records. Suite A is the Circuit Court Clerk, which holds filed cases, dispositions, and expungement help. Same building, different records. The sheriff cannot issue a court's final judgment. The clerk does not run jail intake.
City police add another layer. Bolivar Police keeps its own incident reports. Whiteville Police handles city incidents, and its monthly PDF shows totals only. Middleton Police lists contacts but no online arrest feed. Ask the arresting city for the narrative. Ask the sheriff for the intake. Name the same person, date, and spot in both requests.
Federal custody sits apart. The Bureau of Prisons locator finds federal inmates but shows no Hardeman booking photo. A federal pretrial detainee may not appear there yet. ICE runs its own locator for immigration detention. Missing from BOP, or a finished county release, never proves no other agency holds someone.
A full booking entry can hold classification, bond, a court date, an agency code, and the arrest location. Read it all. Copying just the charge invites errors. Classification is a jail processing label. Court dates move. Bond can change after review. When a field is blank, ask the office that made the record rather than reading silence as fact. Keep the intake snapshot apart from current custody and the court's judgment. Old screenshots, search snippets, and copied social posts cause needless mistakes. Carry the source date, report window, and agency with any conclusion. If liberty or safety is at stake, call and confirm again.
